  Fergus Neville

Fergus is completing an E.S.R.C funded PhD under the supervision of Prof. Steve Reicher. His research investigates the experiential nature of collective behaviour, and the antecedents and outcomes of positive collective experience more specifically. The topic is explored using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods including ethnography, semi-structured interviews, analysis of video and audio footage, and questionnaire data.

Fergus is also interested in group behaviour in a broader sense, and is involved in ongoing research projects concerned with helping within the collective, and the policing of football crowds.
