Generally, I am interested in the early detection of age-related cognitive disease such as Alzheimer's Disease.

More specifically, I am funded by the ESRC as part of the Novel Assessment of Nutrition and Ageing multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision and direction of Dr Arlene Astell, to carry out doctoral research into the association between cognition and walking in the elderly.

I am looking specifically at the possibility of the early detection of cogntive impairment in older people by monitoring and analysing changes in the way they walk and/or their walking habits.
