What do young children understand about their environment?

• How do they learn about properties of objects and develop tool-use skills to solve problems?
• How do they learn to interact with others? What is the role of gestures in communication?

These are some of the questions we are trying to answer with the research in our laboratory.

All the studies conducted in the Baby and Child Lab have been approved by the University of St Andrews, School of Psychology Ethics Committee. All information is kept confidential.
